Job Summary of Restaurant Shift Leader:
The core duty of this role is to oversee the quality and safety of the food prepared at Chipotle. This encompasses tasks such as grilling meats, stir-frying vegetables, procuring ingredients, training potential leaders, and upholding cleanliness in the kitchen. Your involvement is critical in promoting teamwork and maintaining superior standards for food preparation and customer service.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Restaurant Shift Leader:
- Secure food quality by cooking and prepping meals according to order specifics and in accordance with kitchen protocols.
- Ensure proper oversight of food waste and inventory levels, addressing any concerns about food quality when necessary.
- Establish a unified team culture between the kitchen and waitstaff members.
- Mentor and groom crew members for future Kitchen Leadership positions.
- Enhance customer service and operational efficiency by fostering effective communication with both Crew members and patrons.
- Uphold cleanliness and sanitation practices in the kitchen.
- Watch closely over kitchen equipment to ensure they are well-maintained and promptly fixed if any malfunctions occur.
- Strict adherence to safety guidelines is necessary to protect individuals from harm and avoid accidents.
- Ensure compliance by accurately completing Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and conducting Inventory Rotation using the FIFO system as mandated.
Qualifications and Experience of Restaurant Shift Leader:
- Skill in articulating and comprehending Chipotle's dedication to Food With Integrity concepts.
- Skilled in the primary language(s) of the work location.
- It is necessary to have a high school diploma or an equivalent credential.
- A preference is given to individuals with prior experience in restaurants.
