Job Summary of Kitchen Leader:

This role is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of food prepared at Chipotle. The position includes tasks such as grilling meats, sautéing vegetables, ordering food, training future leaders, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen. You will play a key role in promoting teamwork and maintaining the highest standards for food preparation and customer service.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Kitchen Leader:

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, resolving food quality issues as needed.
• Foster a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with Crew members and customers to ensure great customer service and throughput.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area.
• Monitor kitchen equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and swift repair of any malfunctioning equipment.
• Ensure all safety guidelines are followed to prevent injuries and accidents.
• Complete Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Inventory Rotation (FIFO) as required.

Qualifications and Experience of Kitchen Leader:

• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Fluency in the primary language(s) of the work location.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous restaurant experience preferred.
