Job Summary of Service Leader:
This position plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of the restaurant by maintaining a positive customer experience, food quality, and safety standards. You will support the daily management of crew members and assist in maintaining an organized and efficient workspace, all while delivering exceptional service and driving team performance. A proactive attitude, strong communication, and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Service Leader:
- Lead by example, ensuring high-quality food is prepared and served according to company standards.
- Monitor food safety practices, including hand washing, temperature control, and shelf life management.
- Assist in the resolution of customer concerns, ensuring a positive and smooth dining experience.
- Oversee crew members' performance, assisting with scheduling, break management, and shift transitions.
- Support and mentor team members, providing feedback and training on food preparation and customer service skills.
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained and operational, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
- Handle administrative tasks such as cash handling, banking, and maintaining proper stock levels.
- Work with team members to meet restaurant targets for sales, food quality, and cleanliness.
Qualifications and Experience of Service Leader:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and cash handling procedures.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for long periods and manage the physical demands of the role.
- Experience with scheduling, staff management, or office duties is a plus.
