Job Summary of Kitchen Shift Leader:
The primary duty of this role at Chipotle is to ensure that the food prepared meets strict standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities include cooking meats, sautéing vegetables, ordering food supplies, training future leaders, and maintaining kitchen hygiene. Your role is vital in promoting teamwork and upholding exceptional standards for food preparation and customer service.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Kitchen Shift Leader:
- Preserve the high standards of food by meticulously cooking and preparing meals according to customer requests and kitchen protocols.
- Supervise the monitoring of food waste and inventory quantities, handling any concerns regarding food quality promptly.
- Promote a harmonious team relations between the back-of-house team and the front-of-house team.
- Support crew members in their journey towards becoming kitchen leaders.
- Engage in effective dialogue with Crew members and guests to secure outstanding customer service and operational effectiveness.
- Uphold sanitation standards in the kitchen space.
- Monitor the condition of kitchen equipment to guarantee proper maintenance and quick resolution of any malfunctions.
- Adherence to safety guidelines is imperative to safeguard against injuries and unexpected incidents.
- Adhere to guidelines by ensuring that Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are adequately filled out and that Inventory Rotation is practiced in accordance with FIFO standards.
Qualifications and Experience of Kitchen Shift Leader:
- Aptitude in interpreting and elucidating Chipotle's Food With Integrity ideology.
- Competence in the key language(s) of the work location.
- Meeting the educational requirement includes having a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Previous familiarity with working in restaurants is ideal.
