Job Summary of Food Prep Supervisor:
In this role, you are entrusted with ensuring that the food prepared at Chipotle meets the set standards of quality and safety. This involves responsibilities like cooking meats, sautéing vegetables, sourcing ingredients, mentoring future leaders, and preserving kitchen hygiene. Your contribution is essential in fostering teamwork and upholding top-notch standards for food preparation and customer satisfaction.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Food Prep Supervisor:
- Sustain food excellence through precise cooking and preparation of dishes as requested, adhering to kitchen procedures.
- Monitor food waste and inventory levels closely, taking action to resolve any food quality issues that arise.
- Nurture a positive team dynamic between the back-end and customer-facing employees.
- Assist in the transformation of crew members into upcoming kitchen leaders.
- Strengthen communication with Crew members and customers to uphold superior customer service and drive operational throughput.
- Ensure the kitchen area remains sanitary and well-kept.
- Keep tabs on kitchen tools to ensure they are maintained properly and swiftly repaired if any issues arise.
- Observing safety precautions is paramount in preventing injuries and maintaining a secure workplace.
- Adhere to standards by completing Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) in detail and executing Inventory Rotation based on the FIFO methodology as directed.
Qualifications and Experience of Food Prep Supervisor:
- Proficiency in explaining and interpreting Chipotle's approach to Food With Integrity.
- Adept in the predominant language(s) of the work site.
- A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is a baseline criterion.
- Ideal candidates will have previous experience in the restaurant field.
