Job Summary of Lead Cook:

The primary duties of this job involve supervising the food quality and safety protocols at Chipotle. Job Duties and Responsibilities of Lead Cook:

• Uphold food quality through the careful preparation and cooking of dishes tailored to individual orders, while adhering to established kitchen procedures.
• Monitor and manage levels of food waste and inventory, taking action to address any issues related to food quality.
• Build a cohesive team dynamic between the kitchen and serving staff.
• Nurture crew members with potential to emerge as kitchen leaders in the future.
• Effectively interact with Crew members and patrons to guarantee excellent customer service and smooth service flow.
• Ensure that the kitchen space is consistently sanitized and free from dirt.
• Oversee the upkeep of kitchen machinery to ensure they are functioning correctly and address any problems promptly.
• Make sure to comply with safety guidelines to reduce the chances of accidents and harm.
• Follow the necessary protocols by completing Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and adhering to Inventory Rotation practices using the FIFO method.

Qualifications and Experience of Lead Cook:

• Proficiency in grasping and communicating Chipotle's ethos of prioritizing Food With Integrity.
• Ability to communicate effectively in the predominant language(s) used at the job site.
• Completion of high school education or its equal is necessary.
• Preference given to candidates with previous experience in restaurants.
