Job Summary of Culinary Team Leader:
This job entails overseeing the quality and safety of the food being made at Chipotle, which involves tasks such as grilling meat, stir-frying vegetables, ordering supplies, training potential leaders, and keeping the kitchen clean. You will be instrumental in fostering teamwork and ensuring the highest standards for food preparation and service to customers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Culinary Team Leader:
- Safeguard the quality of food by cooking and prepping meals to order while strictly following kitchen protocols.
- Oversee food waste and inventory levels, addressing any issues with the quality of food as required.
- Foster a united team spirit between the back-end and front-end crew members.
- Encourage the development of team members for future leadership positions in the kitchen.
- Ensure effective communication with Crew members and customers to uphold superior customer service standards and maximize operational output.
- Keep the kitchen area tidy and germ-free.
- Watch over kitchen tools to verify they are adequately maintained and promptly repaired if any breakdowns happen.
- It is essential to observe and implement safety precautions to uphold a secure setting and avoid accidents.
- Make sure to meet requirements by filling out Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) completely and conducting Inventory Rotation following the FIFO approach.
Qualifications and Experience of Culinary Team Leader:
- Skill in understanding and articulating Chipotle's dedication to Food With Integrity values.
- Skillful in the primary language(s) commonly spoken at the place of work.
- A high school diploma or a comparable credential is a prerequisite.
- Restaurant experience is advantageous for this position.
